Indications:
Arm-sleeves are indicated in the treatment of primary and secondary lymphedema of the upper limbs.
Prevention of edema after decongestion is achieved. Treatment of secondary lymphedema. Post-mastectomy fluid accumulation and edema following radiation therapy. Post-surgery and post-traumatic edema after basic treatment.
Contraindications:
- Uncontrolled lymphedema
- Inflammation
- Open wounds
- Infections
- Arterial circulatory problems of the upper limb
Recommendations:
Important care information-
We always recommend the use of rubber gloves to wear elastic compression sleeves.
Avoid sharp fingernails. Rings, bracelets or watches with sharp edges cause defects and breakage of the yarn. Only use skin care substances which do not have any bad effect on the product and causing deterioration of the yarns.
Do not cut off any projecting threads inside the arm-sleeve since this may cause holes or runs to form in the garment. In presence of wounds, stitches, irritated skin adequately protect the area with a special patch, sterile gauze or hygienic garment.
Washing Instructions-
For a longer life of this arm-sleeve we recommend to follow carefully the directions below. Compression garments should, if possible, be washed daily or at least every other day.
Wash with warm water, not above 40°C, and mild soap or detergent for delicate garments. Rinse and dab the excess water without twisting the garment helping you with a towel. Dry away from heat sources and in flat position, avoid the direct sunlight. With the washing machine, we recommend the use of protective laundry bags and follow the above directions with respect to the maximum temperature and detergents to be used. Do not dry clean, do not use solvents, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron.
